Ian Harris is Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UNSW in Sydney, Australia. He is a clinician with interests in trauma surgery and an academic with an interest in the evidence base for surgery. His research activities include randomized trials, systematic reviews and outcome registries. He is author of a book questioning the effectiveness of surgery: Surgery, the Ultimate Placebo.
