Dr. Hochberg received his M.D. from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and his M.P.H. from The Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health. He completed residency training in internal medicine and fellowship training in rheumatology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He has published over 500 articles and 60 book chapters, and is an editor of the textbook “Rheumatology”, and the Editor-in-Chief of Seminars in Arthritis and Rheumatism. Dr. Hochberg received the OARSI Clinical Research Award in 1999, and the OARSI Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. He was formerly General Secretary and a member of the Board of Directors of OARSI, and is currently President-Elect of the U.S. Bone and Join Initiative.
